Does Islam judge a person based on their past?
Every person has a past that includes both correct decisions and others they wish they could change, but is it fair to always judge them based on what they were like yesterday?
Sometimes we meet people whose ideas and morals have changed, and who have become completely different from what they were in the past.
In Islam, the path back to God is never closed, no matter the extent of one's mistakes; the door remains open to all who sincerely repent and strive to reform.
Repentance is not merely regret for the past, but rather the beginning of a real change that manifests in a person's behavior and actions.
Thus, the past does not become a final judgment on man. What matters is not only what he was yesterday, but what he chooses to be today.
