Islam and Elderly

In Islam, the elderly are deeply respected and honored for their life experience and wisdom. The religion calls for  treating the elderly with kindness, honor, and compassion, stressing significance of caring for them especially when they reach old age.

Islam teaches that caring for the elderly is not merely a moral obligation but a profound means of earning the pleasure of Allah.
