Why does the behavior of some Muslims differ from the teachings of Islam?
A negative experience with a Muslim may lead to a bad impression of Islam, but do the actions of individuals reflect the true teachings of the religion?
A person may believe in moral principles and then contradict them in their behavior, and this does not necessarily mean that the principles themselves are wrong.
Islam calls for truthfulness, justice, mercy, and kindness, and makes a person responsible for their actions and how they treat others.
But Muslims, like other human beings, may make mistakes or be influenced by their customs and personal interests, causing some of them to stray from the teachings of their religion.
Therefore, understanding Islam should not be limited to the actions of its followers, but requires getting to know what the Holy Qur’an calls for and what the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, taught in terms of values and morals.
