The problem arises because In the current scientific academia, there is no place for religion, and there isn’t even an opportunity to include any non-experimental or metaphysical explanations or interpretations to any scientific issue.
Although Islamic sciences are grounded by proofs and authenticity, in modern science, proof is observation made by our senses (and in other schools, induction). Furthermore, Its authenticity level is not important. What is important is that it can be experimented and tested. If proven to be consistently correct then it is correct, otherwise it is wrong.
Unfortunately, this limited western view of ‘science’ has also been adopted by some Muslims in some religious-scientific issues. They’ve forgotten, or may be totally unaware, that this specified view is a result of certain intellectual and social circumstances that are drastically different than the Islamic view on life, religion, science and knowledge.
